The objective of this course is to train doctoral students in planning and execution of research methods in the field of design, innovation, and management research. This goes beyond general methodology, and positions the student to take further specialist courses associated with specific methods e.g. advanced statistics.

The coure will use a flipped classroom approach:
Student prepares pre-work to be used in the teaching days
Case based teaching of method
Students work with the method
Students prepare short reflective method section as the hand-in

Before the taught sessions participants will be asked to complete and deliver pre-work

The five main methods covered are:
• Case studies
• Interviews and surveys
• Experiments
• Statistics and large datasets
• Causal logic and reflection
