Emerge 2027
Emerge 2027 is the second international conference aimed at fostering emerging research in Product Design. It has the specific intent of providing a platform for early-career researchers, practitioners, and students to discuss, debate, and develop their work in the field of product and industrial design. The Emerge 2027 theme is ‘Product Design for a Changing World’. Today, the world around us is changing rapidly, and the changes happening are often hard for human beings to predict. The changes and transformations occurring in the world we live in are driven by advancements in digital and computational technology, rising sustainability and regulatory requirements, growing user expectations, and fluctuating socio-economic and cultural contexts. The current conference focuses on investigating how product design as a discipline can respond to these transformations without losing its core focus on functionality, usability, desirability, and human well-being.
