NordDesign 2018 was hosted in Linköping, Sweden on 14th-17th August 2018. The conference took place at Linköping University and was organized by the Division of Machine Design at the Department of Management and Engineering.
Norddesign is a biennial Nordic conference, covering design, design engineering and design education in its full width. Topics include engineering, manufacturing, aesthetics, emotions, ergonomics, sustainability, and business. Norddesign is known for its friendly and informal atmosphere.
The main theme of the 2018 conference was ‘design in the era of digitalization’, covering a wide range of topics, including:
- Big data in design
- Physical computing prototypes
- Design of cyber-physical systems
- Design automation
- Distributed design teams
