PAD2024 - 6th International Summer School on Product Architecture Design

We are happy to announce that the 6th International Summer School on Product Architecture Design PAD2024 will take place from June 17-21 2024 in Hamburg, Germany. Focusing aspects of product architecture design and modularity, the research collaboration of Prof. Dieter Krause from Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), Prof. Kevin Otto from University of Melbourne (Australia), Prof. Ola Isaksson from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) and Prof. Seung Ki Moon from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)) will provide substantial state of the art knowledge and hands-on learning experiences in practical workshops. Together with other young researchers you will learn, apply and discuss product development, handling the topics Design Structure Matrix (DSM) and Field Effects, Sustainability and Circularity, Innovation and Modular New Product Development and Functional Modeling.

Next to discussing capabilities and limitations of the learnt, there will be room to engage with your own research topic, hopefully resulting in long lasting research collaborations. The summer school is free of charge for students thanks to the sponsorship of the Design Society, but you will need to cover travel expenses and accommodation. The event will take place on the campus of the TUHH. Calling all young adventurers! Hamburg is your playground for endless fun and excitement.
