Find the Conference, workshop, talk or research school that is just the right fit for you. Find colleagues with shared research interests and invest in yourself.
As part of the 2020 Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering International Congress, there will be a symposium on CubeSat innovation and research.
As part of the 2020 Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering International Congress, there will be a symposium on CubeSat innovation and research. This call is open to a wide audience, including researchers, industry members, student teams and educators. CubeSats have been a democratizing force in the space industry, and we hope the symposium will reflect this. Abstracts / papers are due Jan 15, 2020. We hope to see you there!
SYMPOSIUM ON CUBESATS
Symposium Chair: Dr. Grant McSorley
Call for Papers – Submission Deadline: January 15, 2020
THE SYMPOSIUM
The symposium chair invites you to submit a paper or an abstract in all fields related to CubeSat development and missions, as well as related technologies, to the 2020 CSME International Congress to be held at the University of Prince Edward Island Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, from June 21-24, 2020.
CubeSats (or nanosats) are an integral technology in the development of the “New Space” industry and have served to make space science and exploration accessible to industry, academia and citizen scientists. 2020 will mark 21 years since the development of the CubeSat standard by the California Polytechnic State University and it is estimated that as of January 2019 over 1000 CubeSats have been launched. The first Canadian-developed CubeSat, CanX-1, was launched in 2003 and 33 more Canadian CubeSats are scheduled to be launched over the next 3 years.
The goal of this symposium is to share knowledge, experience and recent developments in CubeSat research in order to support the development of successful missions and innovative space technology.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
ABSTRACT/PAPER SUBMISSION
The submissions to the Congress are in two formats:
* Full-length paper submissions will be considered in the Student Paper Competition and/or Special Issue of Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering.
Please submit your paper/abstract in PDF format (using the template) to the appropriate track (CubeSat Symposium) for consideration.
