Message from the organisers:

The outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions of public health authorities forced us to reconsider the schedule of DESIGN 2020. The DESIGN 2020 conference will be organised online on the October 26th – 29th 2020!

With the support of Programme Chairs, the Organising Committee of DESIGN 2020 decided to go online. The rules that influence the organisation of group meetings and services forced us to such a decision. The online conference will be organised on a Zoom platform in multiple rooms with pre-recorded presentations followed by your interactive discussions. DESIGN conference was always the place where scientific and practical knowledge about design has been developed, evaluated and shared. The DESIGN conference programme is organized under motto “Excellence in Design”, with numerous workshops, project-oriented meetings and specific social programme. DESIGN events provided an opportunity for intensive networking. We want to offer the same experience under safe conditions and without restrictions.

We are inviting you to participate in the online event in October.

The DESIGN Conference programme offers broad exchange possibilities to researchers and practitioners, strategic decision makers, managers, design and engineering professionals, national or regional agencies or governmental bodies. The goal of DESIGN Conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners who have worked on or thought about engineering and industrial design from a variety of perspectives, disciplines, and fields: engineering, aesthetics, ergonomics, psychology, sociology and the like.

We invite high-quality submissions for DESIGN 2020 covering substantial, original and previously unpublished research. Improvements in the engineering design process have been supported by theories and methods developed by research groups around the world. There is a constant need to harmonise the findings and to ensure that these findings are built upon and developed so that they can be transferred into engineering practice.
