The Programme Chairs of DESIGN 2026 have completed the initial screening of all submissions to ensure alignment with the conference scope and formatting requirements. Following this assessment, 66 papers were desk-rejected for being out of scope or non-compliant with the submission guidelines.
The remaining 458 full papers have now entered the double-blind peer review phase, involving 403 reviewers and a total of 1,374 individual review assignments.
This marks a major milestone in delivering the rigorous, fair, and high-quality evaluation process (https://www.designconference.org/reviewing-policy) that the Design Society expects from its endorsed events. A sincere thank you to all reviewers for their commitment and contribution to advancing the field of engineering design research.
DESIGN Conference papers are published online on the Cambridge Core journal pages as Proceedings of the Design Society: DESIGN Conference. All papers are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science CPCI and are referenced in CrossRef with a DOI. Selected papers will be invited to be extended and published in the Design Science Journal.
