We are happy to announce that the 7th International Summer School on Product Architecture Design (PAD2026) will take place from 22-25 June 2026 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Focusing aspects of product architecture design and modularity, the research collaboration of Prof. Niels Mortensen from Technical University of Denmark (Denmark), Prof. Ola Isaksson from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), Prof. Dieter Krause from Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), Prof. Seung Ki Moon from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and Prof. Kevin Otto from University of Melbourne (Australia) will provide substantial state of the art knowledge and hands-on learning experiences in practical workshops. Together with other young researchers you will learn, apply and discuss product development, handling the topics multifunctional and multitechnological architecture modelling, software-defined architecture and modularisation, evaluating product architectures based on field effects, and interface standardisation in product families.
Next to discussing capabilities and limitations of the learnt, there will be room to engage with your own research topic, hopefully resulting in long lasting research collaborations. The summer school is free of charge for phd students, but you will need to cover travel expenses and accommodation. The event will take place on the campus of the DTU. Be part of PAD2026 and apply by 30 May 2026.
We look forward to welcoming you to Copenhagen!
