This webinar series marks the launch of a recurring SIG format aimed at strengthening the international community on Engineering Design for Robustness
The Special Interest Group (SIG) Engineering Design for Robustness of the Design Society is pleased to announce a new international webinar series addressing robustness as a key capability in modern engineering design.
Engineering systems are increasingly influenced by variation, uncertainty, environmental disturbances, AI-driven non-determinism, and lifecycle trade-offs. As a result, robustness is evolving beyond traditional parameter design towards a cross-disciplinary engineering capability that must be systematically addressed throughout the product development process.
This webinar series provides a platform for exchange between academia and industry, bringing together experts to discuss approaches for modelling, validating, and integrating robustness into engineering processes. The series covers a broad range of topics, including tolerancing, reliability, sensor and AI robustness, and lifecycle-oriented design strategies.
The series is intended for engineers and researchers working in product development under uncertainty, including fields such as tolerancing, reliability engineering, AI-based systems, sensor technologies, and lifecycle engineering.
Participation is free of charge. A single registration provides access to the entire 2026 webinar series as well as updates on future SIG activities.
