Abstract:
To realise the benefits of lightweight design, lightweight measures must be applied along all phases of the product development process. Recently, the focus has been on the early phases. Previous lightweight methods that focus on these often do not consider the planning phase and do not offer easy-to-apply lightweight measures. For this reason, there is a lack of consideration of the planning phase, including applicable measures. Because of this, an approach for the integration of lightweight design into the planning phase with an easy-to-apply lightweight requirements list was developed.
