Abstract:
Engineering students need to be prepared for future work environments in which transdisciplinary collaboration and innovative behaviour are key to sustainable success. Classical technical skills will not be sufficient to find adequate solutions to complex and dynamic challenges. This work derives a set of ten behavioral aspects that are additionally required for new product developement and innovation. It presents a novel behaviour-centric concept for engineering education that seeks to systematically foster the required behaviour. It is tested in a university course with 41 students.
