Abstract

This paper describes and demonstrates a proof of concept for a Predictive Program Management artifact for large Department of Defense (DoD) platform acquisition programs of record. The artifact’s purpose is to give program stakeholders - defense contractors, military leadership, and government acquisition officials - more forward-looking insight into program health metrics for cost, schedule, and technical performance. The development of the Predictive Program Management artifact leverages and combines emerging technologies and methodologies from natural language processing, design structure matrix modeling, system dynamic modeling, and agent-based complex adaptive systems.
