Call for Papers: Educating Creativity and Innovation in Human-Centred Engineering Design
International Journal of Design Creativity and Innovation
Building on the success of the Engineering and Product Design Education (E&PDE) 2025 conference and its theme “Fostering Human-Centred Products and Services in Design (OUTPACE)”, this collection on 'Educating Creativity and Innovation in Human-Centred Engineering Design' for the International Journal of Design Creativity and Innovation will bring together research exploring how design education can cultivate creativity and innovation to address human needs, societal challenges, and emerging technologies.
This focus reflects the growing urgency to rethink how we nurture creativity and innovation within engineering design curricula, given the increasing demands on future designers and engineers.
We would like to invite contributions that advance understanding and practice in this area to collaborate with us on the development of manuscripts. Please let me know if you are interested in contributing to the collection to be a part of the collaboration.
The deadline to submit is the 1st of June 2026.
