Design Practice Speaker Series

Open Innovation

Dr. Soeren Striepe - Magna International

Friday 5th February 2021 at 13:00 (GMT/UTC)

Join us for this webinar with Dr. Soeren Striepe on Open Innovation. This webinar is presented by the Design Practice SIG.

Open innovation is a business management model for innovation that promotes collaboration with people and organizations outside the company. In this sense, it is an alternative to the conventional method of doing innovation where information must stay within the company in a silo mentality and the secrecy traditionally associated with corporate R&D culture (“closed innovation”).

Dr. Striepe will be introducing an example of applying this concept, as a basis for a discussion with the attendees about enablers, benefits and challenges.
