Abstract:
This thesis deals with the viability of methods of the network theory for mapping a complete product development process (PDP). The aim is to maintain the information and data flow within a company despite the increasing complexity. As a representative PDP the FORFLOW-Process-Model is used, which is a generic process, developed in a cooperation of universities and the industry. Petri-Nets are used in order to simulate a dynamic process and they are treated as sub networks. These are integrated into the overall network, which in return is separated in three main layers.
