Knowledge Base Repository

In addition to research papers, the Design Society is developing several valuable resources for those interested in the study of design. These include a repository of PhD theses, a library of case studies and transcripts of design activities, and an archive of our newsletters. Abstract:
Major iterations in the late development process lead to high costs. Therefor validation activities should be part of the process as early as possible. However every development process has requirements to meet as e.g. budget limitations. Therefor a methodological support is needed to prioritize the validation activities. The presented approach is based on the idea that the most critical sub-systems have to be validated first. For determination of the criticality three factors were described. By rating the three factors, the designers are able to estimate the criticality of a certain solution.
