Abstract
This paper presents an approach for a knowledge integration system to integrate engineering design knowledge user friendly, user specific and independent from a knowledge engineer into a multi-agent design system. In order to obtain requirements on this knowledge integration system, a survey was made. The results of this survey are presented here. Based on these requirements, the concept of the knowledge integration system and the modified knowledge base are explained. An example illustrates the previously described approach.
