Abstract:
Currently, products are often not designed for remanufacturing. Further, there is a lack of feedback from remanufacturing to product design. Thus, information from remanufacturing and design for remanufacturing needs to be integrated in a better way into the product development processes. In this paper a stepwise method towards products adapted for remanufacturing is described. The method is directed at OEMs that remanufacture, and specifically supports integration of information from remanufacturing into the design process in order to better adapt products forremanufacturing.
