Base Diseño e Innovación announces a call for papers for its upcoming special edition on ‘Design and Artificial Intelligence: Ethical, Plural, and Situated Perspectives.’ As the integration of AI continues to reshape the global creative landscape, this issue seeks to explore how the industry can foster responsible design principles and AI literacy. The journal is inviting academics, researchers, and professionals to contribute to a dialogue that prioritises ethical and diverse viewpoints on the future of technology in design.
The special edition is led by a global panel of guest editors, bringing together expertise from North Carolina State University, USA, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Mexico and the University of Strathclyde, UK. The editorial team comprising of Dr Andrés Téllez, Dr Valeria López Torres, Marco Ferruzca, and Dr Ross Brisco aims to broaden the debate by highlighting collaborative and global perspectives that are often overlooked in mainstream AI discourse.
Base Diseño e Innovación is an open-access journal with a commitment to accessibility; there are no publication fees for contributing authors.
Scheduled for publication in July 2026.
