Head of Department of Engineering - King’s College London
King’s College London, one of the top 25 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2018), is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to lead the development of our engineering offering in the heart of our central London campus.
At King’s we are building a multimillion pound world-leading facility with a 21st-Century focus, which will maximise our interdisciplinary links and establish valuable new research themes and partnerships. It is an exciting time to join King’s during this period of ambitious growth, supported by significant university investment.
Building on our existing strengths in computer science, robotics, telecommunications and biomedical engineering, this is a unique opportunity to shape the development of new innovative educational programmes and create a world-class research activity in engineering. The successful candidate will have a substantial track record in research, teaching and professional achievement within engineering, including significant management and leadership roles. We are looking for an excellent communicator with energy and enthusiasm and a collaborative approach, who can establish both internal and external connections and build a vibrant and engaging engineering community for both staff and students.
We are also advertising for a number of other engineering roles, including professorships, and are open to the possibility of wider research groups joining us at King’s.
