Abstract
This paper gives an overview of the current practice of life cycle analyses. The overview can serve as support for practitioners and helps to identify potentials for the further advancement of life cycle analyses. In order to be able to derive the desired findings, case studies concerning life cycle analysis (of the method variants Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC) and Social LCA (SLCA)) are analyzed. Findings include: A general comparison of the three variants LCA, LCC, and SLCA and a conformity check ISO standards 14040 and 14044.
