Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to address the problematic of distant collaboration training. It focuses especially on engineering education through the activity of collaborative design. We present the underlying concept of a recent software development, based on an existing version of a design Role Playing Game. This notably deals with the new distributed situation and the foreseen design activities. Putting students into action with the software is not trivial and requires the elaboration of various scenarios. Choice has to be made depending on various factors among which the educational objectives, discussed in this communication.
