The First International Conference on Design Creativity (ICDC 2010) will be held at Kobe International Conference Center, Japan, from 29.11.2010 to 01.12.2010.
ICDC 2010 is a brand new conference, promoted and organised by the Design Creativity Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Design Society. It will provide a forum to discuss the nature and potential of design creativity from both theoretical and methodological viewpoints.
Important dates:
18.06.2010: Deadline for submissions (full papers) to be reviewed
30.07.2010: Notification about paper acceptance

The Summer School on Engineering Design Research (SSEDR) will be for the 12th time in its present, "Europeanised" form, led by Mogens M. Andreasen (Danish TU), Lucienne Blessing (Université du Luxembourg) and Christian Weber (TU Ilmenau).
It aims at PhD students and offers presentations, discussions, seminars in order to make the participants better qualified and equipped for research on topics related to design science.

12.-14.04.2010, Technical University Munich, Germany
The "TUM Spring School on Systems Engineering" is going to take place for the first time. It will be held in cooperation with the Stevens Institute of Technology. The spring school refers to PhD students of all departments whose working areas are related to any aspects of systems engineering. The aim of the three day course is to encourage the international scientific exchange among different disciplines. Furthermore the students should be enabled to gain an insight into industrial implementation and application of systems engineering. There will be invited talks by quests out of different companies on the industrial requirements and the possibility for intense discussions.

The 12th International Conference on Engineering and Product Design Education will be organised by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway in partnership with the Design Education Special Interest Group (DESIG) of the Design Society and the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED).The conference in 2010 will address the relationship between design education and design research.
The Call for Abstracts is NOW OPEN. Abstracts of no more than 500 words should be submitted through the Conference Management System by 11th December 2009.
