Abstract

Collaborative work involves many teams member which must share and exchange information about the product while working with various business tools. The complex process of product design requires the use of he- terogeneous tools such as CAD and CAM tool. Our work of thesis proposes an approach based on the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) for the interopera- bility of business tools. In this work we use the PPO model (Product Process Organization) as a federation model for information exchange. This work des- cribes how we structure the synchronization between heterogeneous business tools. A case study is applied to EspritTM CAM tool enabling EspritTM to interoperatewiththeSolidWorksTM CADtoolthroughoutthePPOcollabo- rative environment.
