Abstract:
Electronics Development Center (ELC) at Yanmar Corporation applied DSM to investigate the project’s underlying rework which we couldn’t have picked up by the current way. We set the DSM’s
x-axis as the development phase, y-axis as the work contents, and inputted man-hour data of ELC members to the matrix after we defined the work contents to do at each phase. In this way, we could
pick up when, what kind of work contents and how many hours each project reworked. By further analyzing the results of DSM, we could find why reworks occurred and the way to reduce reworks.
