Knowledge Base Repository

In addition to research papers, the Design Society is developing several valuable resources for those interested in the study of design. These include a repository of PhD theses, a library of case studies and transcripts of design activities, and an archive of our newsletters. Abstract:
Acoustic design for consumer products spans multiple design domains from setting reference acoustic quality to function design and structure design. In the process specific to acoustic design, a subjective evaluation is carried out by assessing the sounds by ear as evaluation and verification at the final product design stage, after the physical design to supply the sound emitting function is complete. The fact that this subjective and objective design information exists virtually independent from each other can be a problem. This study focused on acoustic design which targets design of sound as intensity, and proposed a requirement/function domain-spanning, MDM-based product data description.
