Abstract

In the context of fierce competition, the automotive industry always tries to find better ways to adapt its organization and to integrate market constraints. Projects organizations are now common and car manufacturers focuse on customers’ needs and wishes. Many of them look at the design phase as the stage when solutions can be find concerning the integration of the customer’s point of view in the future product. The question is how to integrate the customer’s points of view, which essentially cross any of the numerous technical areas or functions, in the design, which is almost entirely digital. The organizational choice made by Renault was to create a new actor, the Customer Requirements Pilot, who is responsible for following some requirements along the design phase. This actor depend on one or more crafts and works at the interface between crafts and projects. In the case of ergonomics requirements, the Customers Requirements Pilots come up against difficulties in sharing information with the CAD designers, which is typical of differences of representations at the interfaces. This study proposes reflections about, firstly, the integration of transverse points of view, through the analysis of the specific interface role of the Customer Requirements Pilot ; secondly, an information system for managing and sharing digital information during projects ; and finally, a synthesis tool integrating craft rules (here ergonomics ones) in a digital environment : the generic ergonomic report.
