Abstract

This paper discusses how to adopt responsible sponsored studio teaching as common practice in design education, while taking into consideration the interest of design practitioners, professional organizations, unions and the Norwegian society from a social, ethical and economical context based on the Norwegian business culture. There are no clear signals that “Collaborative Sponsored Studio Teaching” undermines the growth of the design professions by means of unfair business practices. Thre 2nd level service stakeholders played a more active role in supporting educational collaboration.
