Virtual product development in vehicle technology
The chair for product development and lightweight construction deals with developing and optimising complex technical systems. Based on technical problems, we develop methods, tools and solutions, optimized in terms of functionality, weight and costs. We are currently looking for a research assistant (m/f/d) for a project with Audi AG.
Theme
Complex systems are now developed using modern virtual methods. They serve z. B. modelling, simulation, data management or generating and optimising technical solutions and manufacturing processes. In addition to established methods, methods of artificial intelligence and machine learning are increasingly being used.
Virtual product development is a key to development efficiency and product quality. Evaluation methods and metrics for monitoring are to be developed and evaluated for sustainable improvement and further development of virtual development processes in the context of systems engineering and for the strategic expansion of the degree of virtualization. For this purpose, an intensive inventory is carried out in the development department of Audi AG and new approaches are developed with experts and management.
