Research Associate in Design Cognition

UWE Bristol

The main objective of this role is to address the lack of strategic approach in integrating manufacturing knowledge in the design and innovation process. More specifically, this project seeks to inject knowledge, rooted in the patent database and other knowledge sources, into the engineering practice.

The post will be based at UWE Bristol, one of the largest providers of Higher Education in the South West.We can provide an exciting academic environment for you with countless opportunities for scientific collaboration with outstanding research groups.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated candidate to join us. You should have a strong background and appropriate evidence of work in design research and particularly design cognition. You are also expected to be a team player who can well collaborate with other researchers in our group. You are expected to yield potentially high impact results.

This is a full time, fixed term post until June 2022 and is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
