The International Dependency and Structure (DSM) Conference is the annual forum to discuss, how complex systems can be managed by understanding, modeling and designing the dependencies in a complex system.
The DSM 2011 event took place on 14.-15.09.2011 at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA.
Since 2007, the series of DSM Conferences is an event endorsed by the Design Society and closely connected to the Design Society's Special Interest Group on Managing Structural Complexity.

Please note: Due to the sad situation at the moment in Japan, the DSM Conference 2011, originally planned to be held at Kyoto/Japan, has been shifted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The date has been moved to one day earlier than originally planned: September 14 - 15, 2011. Dependency and Structure Modelling (DSM) techniques support the management of complexity by focusing attention on the elements of a complex system and how they are related...
